Editing Our Opening Scene #2
Hey everybody! This week we continued editing. We established a lot more this week in terms of fonts, titles, placements, effects, and transitions. Editing went more or less smoothly this week since we had solved the problems we encountered last week, allowing for a more cohesive editing session. Alexander and I worked together for about 2-3 hours on Monday and we accomplished a lot. We decided to use the font, "Monserrat-Light" because it's thin and simplistic. This adds a sense of neatness to the film and doesn't take away from the therapy clinic setting. Here is a photo of choosing the font title. As for colors, depending on the background we may use yellow because it ties into our film, red, or dark blue because they're all striking and noticeable colors. For video effects, there will be several utilized including blurs to indicate a soft focus, and a glitch effect to portray the protagonist's unreliability. Editing Our Opening Scene
Hi again! This week my group started the editing process of our opening scene! Here are some photos of Alexander editing on his laptop at home. Alexander is the only one who has been involved in editing so far as we haven’t been able to complete much progress on it. We do, however, have plans to meet up next week t o discuss and assist each other in the editing process. Here is a photo of his laptop screen while editing. Some issues he’s faced with editing so far have been confusion with what order the clips go in, which clip is which, and finding a good editing software. We filmed the clips in a different order than where they go chronologically in the film to make the most use of time and facilitate the production process. However, due to this, Alexander had to review the script we wrote to ensure he placed the clips in the right order. My Filming Process
Hello everybody! My group and I were super excited to start filming our opening scene. Since we were filming at my house, o ur first step was to move my dining room table so we could use the plainly decorated background for the scenes involving Johansen and me. We grabbed some simple decorations inside my home like a side table and potted plant to add to our background. We did our best to mak e my house seem like a professional atmosphere, that of a therapy clinic. Here is a photograph of Jamil recording a scene between our characters, the therapist and the patient. We filmed the majority of these scenes between Johansen and I , one day after I created the script a nd shared it with the group. Here is a photograph of us going over the script and stage directions .
